Think this is NOT true, although there is a limit to how far out on the pier you can use a net.  There is a sign maybe 1/3 of the way to the end where the net throwing limit is located.

Defeating the fish is not nearly as hard as defeating all the other things that can go wrong from a pier.   And yet it brings us back.  Thanks for the account.

That fish looked oddly similar to Ben!!    Remember Black fin have soft lips / mouths. The hooks can easily pull if not gut hooked. They make a good first run then turn into a log. Thats when the hooks...

  The fishing is alot better than being posted. Seeing alot of types of fall fish.  Its only going to get better untill it gets to cold. Seeing nice baits, & plenty after them. Pick your days.

you tell no lies. yesterday some ballyhoos got crushed close to the pier and about 5-7 large dolphin came by. only 1 ate though, and 1 good bf tuna.
